Matt Poremba, DO joins the Connected Health clinical team having practiced emergency medicine in the greater Pittsburgh area since 2015.
Dr. Poremba is a Pittsburgh native where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh. He later graduated from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his Emergency Medicine Residency and EMS Fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital.
Dr. Poremba comes to us from Alleghany Health Network where he works as an Emergency Physician, EMS Physician, and Flight Physician. With board certifications in Emergency Medicine and Emergency Medical Services, he serves as the Medical Director of LifeFlight and as a faculty member for the Emergency Medicine Residency and EMS fellowship programs. Dr. Poremba is also an FAA Aviation Medical Examiner.
In his free time, Dr. Poremba enjoys flying single engine airplanes. Though he has spent many hours in the comfort of an aircraft, he has never jumped out of one. Of this, he says, “It’s not out of the question. The right opportunity has not presented itself.”
Dr. Poremba resides in Pittsburgh with his wife and son.
