From the desk of Betty Rich, RPh, CEO and Co-Founder
As a frustrated patient navigating the broken healthcare system, my journey to create Connected Health started with having no options outside of traditional, insurance-based primary care.
The typical primary care experience—long waits, endless paperwork, and fleeting doctor visits—was disheartening. As a mother, I experienced the system’s shortcomings many times, especially whenever my children fell ill outside of standard office hours. With every avoidable frustration, my passion to create a better way grew. Instead of continuing to accept the unacceptable, I developed a far superior primary care solution.
Our philosophy was simple: remove insurance from the equation and allow doctors to practice medicine with the patient at the forefront. We adopted a flat-fee approach, enabling our medical team to dedicate their efforts to preventive, not just reactive, care.
In traditional settings, doctors juggle a hefty patient load, constraining the time available for each individual. This limitation can hinder thorough examinations and meaningful discussions about a patient’s overall health and lifestyle. At Connected Health, our concierge team manages the administrative labyrinth—paperwork, specialist coordination, navigating insurance policies—freeing our doctors to provide the comprehensive care they're passionate about.
The existing healthcare framework tends to segment medical expertise, favoring specialists over primary care. While these doctors have in-depth knowledge in a specific area, they often lack the full understanding of a patient’s health. This can be frustrating when dealing with complex and interconnected health issues. Giving primary care physicians more time to understand their patients beyond a quick glance at their charts provides them with a greater opportunity to offer more comprehensive treatment.

Our experience at connected health has been very good, they scheduled our appointment for the day after we called. They are located in Wexford we are located hour and a half north of them, Kim messaged me there Location so I could put it into my GPS, upon our arrival we were immediately greeted for my wife’s exam. We spent very minimal time in the very comfortable waiting area.The facility is very Modern and clean and it looks new. [Staff] are very congenial, and assist us with the paperwork that is needed for my wife’s interview. I can’t say enough about how efficient the Connected Health and the people who work there are, they treated us like we were the only ones in the building.
